The staff
of the Springfield Art Museum handles museum operations, docent
recruitment and training, classes, care and development of collections,
permanent and temporary exhibits, maintenance and repairs, public
information and security.
The Museum
maintains a circulating library, open to the public, of more
than 6,000 volumes, periodicals, catalogs and audiovisual materials.

school, civic and other groups can be scheduled by calling the
Museum at 417-837-5700.
The Art
Museum Board meets the second Thursday of every month at 6:30
p.m. in the Art Museum auditorium located at 1111 East Brookside
Drive.
